Description: High reliability, high-temperature, high-speed, hermetic single-pole single throw broadband PIN-Diode switch with integrated driver. SMA connectorized.

Technical Summary: Broad-band PIN-diode Switches, 2-18 GHz, low insertion loss, high return loss, 2 nanosecond switching times with low video leak-through.

Challenges: Extended Operating Temperatures (-54C to +95C, intermittent operation to +105C), guaranteed temperature cycles, hermetic enclosure. Developed new, wide-temp, low-VSWR microwave contact launches, temperature tolerant substrate carrier attachment, microstrip-line-semiconductor integration for low-reflection, wide bandwidth microwave circuits. No tuning required.

Project Value:  Approximately $1,000,000.

Project Duration:  2 Years.

Responsibility:  Program Manager, project engineer, design engineer, from customer bidding to production and technology transfer to prime contractor.

Description: High reliability, medium-speed, Engineering Model single-pole three-throw broadband PIN-Diode switch with integrated driver. SMA connectorized.
